Nick Mickelson is an undergraduate student majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Originally from Sioux City, Iowa, he has been deeply engaged in his local community. In the lab, Nick demonstrates a strong intellectual curiosity about neuroanatomy, with a particular interest in the functional relationships between the cerebral cortex and subcortical pathways involved in integrative processing and systemic regulation. Outside the lab, Nick serves as a Medic in the United States Army and enjoys reading, fitness, and serving as president of his fraternity.
