Tempest is a part of the first cohort of iDREAM (Iowa Diversifying Research and Mentorship) post baccalaureate students at the University of Iowa. Originally from Washington, DC, she graduated from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA, with a major in Psychology and a concentration in Forensic Behavior Science. Her research interests focus on understanding learning and memory in the context of Alzheimer's disease.
